Adapter & Connector Guide

Identify Your Connector

Lift the wiper arm away from the glass and look at how the old blade attaches to the arm — then match it to a connector below.

  • Most common

    U-Hook

A J-shaped metal hook wraps over the blade. The most common arm type in Malaysia.

  • Push Button

A flat arm with a round button you press to release the blade.

  • Pinch Tab

Two small tabs on the sides of the connector pinch together to release.

  • Bayonet

A straight, narrow arm that slides into the blade end and locks with a pin.

  • Side Pin

A pin on the side of the arm clicks into a hole in the blade connector.

  • Top Lock

A wide plastic arm that opens with a cover and drops onto the blade from above.

Always confirm the blade is fully locked before operating the wipers. A loose blade can detach mid-wipe and scratch the windshield.

Safety & Care

Care Tips for a Clear View

  • Lower, never drop, the arm

A snapping wiper arm can chip or crack the windshield. Keep a folded towel on the glass while you work.

  • Keep bare metal off the glass

Once the old blade is off, never rest the naked arm on the windshield — it scratches.

  • Replace every 6–12 months

Heat and UV harden the rubber. Streaking, squeaking or skipped patches mean it's time.

  • Test the washer spray

After installing, run washer fluid and check the blades sweep the full spray area cleanly.

FAQ

Common Questions

How do I know which Michelin wiper blade fits my vehicle?

Use the fitment table on this page — pick your make to see the exact driver, passenger and rear sizes. The size is also printed on your current blade.

Which adapter should I use?

Lift your wiper arm and compare the connector with the guide above. Most vehicles in Malaysia use the U-Hook arm, and every Michelin blade ships with a set of multi-fit adapters in the box.

How often should wiper blades be replaced?

Every 6–12 months in Malaysian weather, or as soon as you notice streaking, squeaking or skipped patches on the glass.

Can I install the wipers myself?

Yes. No tools are needed and most installations take under five minutes per blade — just follow the video or the six steps above.

What should I do if the blade does not click into place?

Remove the blade, check that the adapter is the right type and facing the correct way, then re-seat it and press until you hear a click. Never force it — contact us and we will help you check the fit.
